Anne Weigel
PORTRAIT
Born in Berlin, Anne always called the city’s music scene her home until she entered a film set by accident. With her first steps in art and music videos, she became a director at a fairly young age. Now her focus is clearly on shooting narrative and commercial work.
Having the privilege of working worldwide on international advertising campaigns over the last twelve years, her clients include Samsung, Coca Cola, Dove and Garnier among others.
Her first narrative short film has been screened at renowned festivals, won Best International Debut at NRFF London and had its TV premiere on national television in Germany in 2020.
Currently working on more of her narrative projects, the stories are often character-driven, with a strong focus on capturing all those little facets that make us human. Today Anne lives with her husband and their 2 children in Potsdam.
