Directors

Axel is an independent director, based in Paris, specialized in mixing live-action & animation. He enjoys creating unique visual worlds for each of his films, blending comedy, animation, silent film and melodrama.



After studying graphic design at Penninghen, Axel worked as an art director and then director on around a hundred commercials for brands such as Chanel, Lacoste, Ikéa, SK2 or Lions Gate. His passion for drawing allows him to create bespoke worlds for each of his clients.

In parallel, Axel directed several music videos and short films, selected for major international festivals, which led to his first feature film, « Crazy Heart", in 2025. The film tells the story of a cabaret shrouded in mist, at the dawn of the 1950s, and boasts a prestigious cast. It will be released in 2027. His second feature film « Remembering Eva"  is currently in pre-production.
