John O’Hagan
PORTRAIT
John O’Hagan is an award winning director of documentaries and commercials. Born in Dublin, Ireland, O’Hagan received a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University and a Master of Fine Arts in Film directing from New York University Tisch Scholl of the Arts.
His first documentary film, Wonderland, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and went on to win numerous film festival awards, as well as a Best Documentary nomination from the Director’s Guild of America. The film was distributed by HBO.
O’Hagan has directed commercial campaigns for a broad range of international clients, including Coca-Cola, Budweiser, Microsoft, Mercedes-Benz, Adidas, Volvo, Pepsi, Range Rover and many more.
He has been awarded many of the top honours in the advertising industry, including a Grand Clio, Cannes Gold Lions and an Emmy nomination. His Super Bowl commercial «Cat Herders» for EDS is consistently ranked as one of the best Super Bowl commercials ever made.
