Matthieu Jorrot is a director living in Aix-en-Provence, France, but spending a lot of time shooting in various countries.
Authenticity and his love for storytelling is what makes his work so unique.
Native French, born in Paris, Matthieu was raised in Stuttgart, Germany. After studying in Paris, he started making his living as a photographer, and assistant director on various commercial and music video shootings in Paris. He started directing in Prague, where he lived for 6 years. In 2008, Matthieu decided to move back to France, where he started working with well known production companies, such as Quad, Première Heure, Else and Prodigious.
In the last couple of years, Matthieu worked in Paris, London, Berlin, Prague, New York, Milan, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Beirut, Kiev, Abidjan with the finest agencies for international brands. He also directed music videos, recently for Charlie Winston and several short movies.
Parallel to advertising, Matthieu is leading the non profit association Cadrage Recadrage, producing social orientated short movies. He also puts a lot of energy and talent in the development of fictional projects. His first feature ‘THE PURITANS’, has already retain attention from film funding organizations.
Matthieu, speaking French, English, German, Italian, and some Czech, is a truly multicultural talent, obsessed with the true emotions of his characters.
